Pond Restoration, Morta, Ghaziabad

India is seriously water-stressed, and is poised on the brink of an acute water crisis. A staggering 15,000 farmers are estimated to take their own lives each year, statistics borne out of agrarian distress that is deepening across the land. More than 50% of the population has no access to safe drinking water and about 200,000 people die every year for lack of access to safe water.

Water Conservation is an integral part of Indian identity and cultural history. We have created many ponds in the city around the area to achieve water conservation. Trenching hills helps saving soil erosion as well as stopping rain water at one place. Recharge pits are the best solution to decreasing groundwater level. Also desilting is an important water conservation technique. By using all these methods, we have conserved 40.59cr litres of water till date.
